Principal and founder of the firm, Nick White received his BA in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan. He continued his education to earn a Bachelor of Architecture form the College of Design, Architecture and Art at the University of Cincinnati in 1975. His early career included work in firms within Cincinnati and eventually Grand Rapids, focusing on large scale commercial projects. He received his licensure as an architect and made his way to Petoskey, Michigan in 1979 where he opened his own firm which continues today. Nick is licensed to practice architecture in Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, and Florida.
A native of Ohio, White has always had strong ties to the shorelines of northern Michigan, spending summers since the 1950’s at the family cottage. Drawing on the influence of the great period architects, his style blends the notion of the Midwest cottage with East Coast shingle style architecture. His understanding of the cottage lifestyle and a dedication to the highest level of design, has created a name synonymous with residential waterfront architecture throughout northern Michigan.
As a principal of the firm, Nick works on individual projects to ensure their design and execution creates places for families to gather for generations.
